This is the result of ideas that comes up from an attempt of essay made for me in order to apply to the competition of Eisaku Sato Foundation. The essay could be written in English or in Japanesse, obviously Im not a Japanese speaker. I really don’t mind been on that, because its more interesting if you could change the focus of the topic in your own way (that's whay i decided to write all my ideas on my blog) .
And I know is very bad publishing your ideas of an essay, because someone else can stole them, but maybe Im more interested in turn this into a more relevant role that could be listened by everyone.
This is the question to answer “Which are the perspectives to remove the nuclear weapons and what is the role of the United Nations about this?”. If I answer this, I would prefer to focus not in the International Organization, but in what can humanity can get if the nations work together. Talking about nuclear weapons today has become in a topic that hides, for me, the most deep question of humanity: What are the purpose of our societies? Or where are we going?.
Why do we have wars? : Getting closer to the complex hominid
Each of us pretend to think that our way of thinking is correct and the “others” is not. This is not applied in peace negotiations only, but in any action that humans and their societies do like the social rules about why “acting and be like this is better than that behaviour of them”. To understand why do we have wars, and why are we damned with this, we have to get some principles that rules the human beings as it is, about its nature: We human beings are conditioned as specie that, to “know”, we need to generalize. This is the only way how we give a meaning and a sense to the environment we live, otherwise, we would be mad, because we are the only animal that lives of “understanding”. We are social because is our natural right, nobody can live in solitary confinement.
Curiously understand love (life) and death is going to be the main question of all, because is beyond borders of our understanding, of how our logic structures work out. We are used and conditioned to understand the environment under our social foundations, which depends of many factors like our culture and the circunstances of our living.
“The only truth is
the chaos”
Human beings and everything in life works out because of life and death, light and darkness (night or day) two words that in in common understanding is wellness and evil, but they are just dualities that rules –everything- on earth, and even human beings can not scape from this, because we are part of it, although we try to not be on it (we are revels as Adan and Eve). As this duality comes from earth and is something naturally chaotic, as I said, is beyond our human understanding. Wars, and every attempt of destruction of humans does not correspond to this duality, because they, in comparison to other criatures, have will. I can even explain how does it born in some period of human evolution, its like a kind of accident, something unnatural maybe.
Having will capacity is something wonderful and a privilege, but a curse that could destroy our entire world and everything we know. By the dualism of will and wisdom (the capacity of knowing and learn) we can enhance our world, the human and other beings welfare in our planet; or use this combination to destroy our planet and killing ourselves. Examples of the first one are the human disciplines like arts, engineering, sciences of life and every study that is used in order to get better our world, not only our societies, and I think that is the real purpose of the accumulated human knowledge along history. Examples of the second one are the nuclear weapons and every invention that destroys or attempt against life (in this I include the “animal tested” products in market).
Wars is the result of our incapacity of not understanding the world, is the product of our signical prision, that results of not been understood or not understand the other. We try to kill (or delete) to make our world understandable, and not accepting the other as it is.
